so i bleach my hair, my natural hair color is a dark ashy blonde, i've been growing out my roots and i've decided that from now on i'd rather get highlights instead. is it possible for a hairstylist to highlight the roots? and if yes does that mean he would have to do the whole strands of hair everytime or just the roots?

thanks

you can touch up hilights,

so they wouldn't have to do the whole strand every time.

you might want to though if your color needs freshening up every once in a while..

you might want to get your bleached part with some lowlights before you start just hilighting your roots though so it would blend together better.

If you are using a permanent ahir color then you can just do the roots. otherwise you have to the whole strand.
