Last week my brother bought this trimmer for his sideburns, and it had extra attachments to actually cut hair. My brother and I were joking around, saying that he should cut his own hair from now on, and maybe I could pull Natalie Portman a la V for Vendetta after that. Anyway, after that I couldn't get short hair out of my head. It's just weird how I've become obsessed with it for no reason, but I keep seeing pixies everywhere now! I almost desperately want to chop my hair off, but I'm wary, because I'm not sure I'd be able to pull it off. It seems like you have to have some amazingly beautiful feature to look REALLY good in hair like that. It's like, with cropped hair you find out how beautiful you actually are, because it'll magnify what you have going on, face-wise.

Anyway, here's the cut I'm thinking about: not exactly Natalie Portman-like, I'm just not THAT brave. But short enough to where I still have something to frame my face. What do you all think, will it go with the shape of my face? Or should I forget any pixie-like fantasies?

P.S. I was trying to do a smokey taupe/bronze eye, and trying on a brown contact in the pic, thus the two-tone eyes.

hmm...i think you could pull off short hair but not that particular style. i think if you had the sideswept bangs itd be cute

I don't see why it wouldn't, but I agree with getting slightly longer bangs.

Thats a lovely short haircut! I think it would suit you, defently keep the bangs a bit longer though.

I think you would look great with short hair. You don't have to be beautiful to cut your hair. The hair cut will show off your beauty.

Do you watch The View? Elizabeth cut her hair short and she looks great.

Long bangs, wispy graduated sides, and the back is shorter than the front.

If you have straight or slight wave (looks like that in your picture), you can pull off this look. I am getting my hair cut next week and I am getting excited about it, so I know how you feel. Good luck with your decision.

The bangs are very cute, but I would have the cut a little longer so that it ends near your chin on the front of your face. at the back it can be as short as you want. You will look great with it. I would just cut it

That cut might work for you, but I would suggest a page cute, a bit longer, up to the end jaw line, and but any short will make you face look round, and an oval is what you should be going for, like a frame around the face. I don't if you have cold winters, but it's good to have a hair to cover the ears, if you ain't too keen on hats.

This is what I mean. but you can go to this virtual makeover site and see ho you would look very short hair. Virtual Makeover - Instant Makeover at BeautyRiot...

I think you'd look cute with short hair... I would keep the bangs on the longer side, with longer wispy layers to keep it full with lots of movement

Thanks for the input, everyone. I was actually kind of leaning towards longer bangs as well, so it's nice to see that thought confirmed by you.

As far as keeping it longer...I probably should, but God, do I want to get it done short! I've had a bob/page before, and the thing with my hair is that it's so thick, it wants to sit in an unattractive triangle, making my face appear wider than it is.

I'm going to wait until after winter, and see if the obsession is still around, then I'll take the plunge.
