I just got my hair panelled with foils yesterday and she told me I could come back if I feel it needs some more dark panels added. What do you think? I think its a bit blond for my skin tone. I was thinking she could add a few darker stripes and the base would be dark with light, rather than light with dark.

What do you experts think?

PS ! excuse the dye stains on my skin! LOL

I think it looks great, but agree that a few more dark stripes would make it look even more fabulous

It's hard to really tell from the angle of the picture, but I think just changing the hair that actually frames your face back to dark and keeping the rest would be good.

I like it, but what does it mean the base dark with a light rather than light with a dark?

What's the base? Is that like the color that most of the hair is or something?

Lol, I feel like such a dork

i think some more dark would help even you out. better to have dark with light lites for your skintone.

I tend to agree with the consensus here that light panels on a dark base would be even more flattering for your skin tone.

mama you look great! So if you don't do anything it will be fine. but if you want to darken up a little that will be fine too only you really know what you are going for.

Think like if you color your hair dark brown and then get some blonde and red highlights. The brown is the base color and the blonde and red are the highlight colors. Usually yeah the base color is more prominent then any of the other colors.

I'm not too sure about the color she chose for the highlights, maybe you can dye the highlights a little darker it would look great.
