I bought this hair color from Sallys 8rc-8.4, light copper red. However I think it is just a tad too vibrant red. The girl at Sallys told me to put 3/4 of this and 1/4 of light golden blonde 8g-8.3, and this would lighten the red a little. What do you gals/beauticians think. I am trying to get the color to match my clip in extensions. Thanks so much.

uhm i dont know. the color will prob be super orangy cuase you are just adding more orange to the mix. if any thing i would use the same color you got and get one of those small plastic tubes that is purple stuff that helps take out some of the red.

but i cant garunte it will give you the results you want

oh, I definitely don't want that. Thanks

I'd mix a neutral shade with the red, to tone it down. Golden shades can intensify red shades.

okay so i got bored and looked in my text book. you do not want to add a color from a diffrent level. you just want to counter act the undertone. so add some of the opposite color, aka either a bit of green or blue green
