Ok i was watching youtube last nigth and petrilude was saying you could mix mac pigments or any pigment to your hair products and essentially color it and transfer the color to your hair. My hair is already dry in nature and im worried that the pigments would dry it out more? Should i worry about this? Has anyone tried this? Also as we know aa hair doesnt need to be washed as often (once a week 4 me) say if i used a pomade (i do everyday bc i have fly aways like the ****ens) and added a blue pigment could i brush it out or would it wear off like it usually does? Would the pigment just stay?

ok any help would be appreciated

I've really never heard of doing such a thing before.....You're not alone on the washing once a week....I only wash my hair once a week also, I use a dry shampoo everyday inbetween.

i've known people that have done this. they mixed some pigment into regular hair gel. it does end up being mostly brushed out, but if you wanted to get it ALL out you'll need to shampoo.

if you just have a lot of mac pigments you arent using, then ok. but online there are several sites you can buy loose shimmer mineral micas that add sparkle.

I have used some eye shadow to touch up some grey hairs before and it works good!! A temporary fix...

sooo what pigment d you think would match my hair color? Ive got a few greys LOL that need to be covered LOL

I think to cover some minor grays you might be better off using a hair mascara to touch it up. I don't have any recs but someone might

One of the many uses of the multi purpose MAC pigment is to put on the hair. you can mix with any gel of your choice, and put in the hair. It is not drying, unless your gel is.

too liquidy, gel

I never heard of that before... wouldn't the color come off when you wash your hair? I mean mac pigments comes off when i wash my face... so it should wash off if you put it in ur hair..

That is unheard of, and super cool! I love multiple uses for makeup. I would definitely put in Mac Pigments with shimmers or sparkles to give my hair the extra oomph. Would the pigments show up on dark hairs? Has anyone tried it so far?

I have a bunch of Jardin Aires pigment left, and I think that it would work well in my hair... lol I actually saw this on someones blog the other day! I think she mixed it with a shine serum? I can't remember. Either way!
