I was wondering the same tbh,, was thinking of giving them ago. Would love to hear from people who have used them

I have used shampoo bars, not from lush but from other companies.

i found them pretty easy to use, you just run them over your hair and than lather like normal shampoo. However i did find them a little more time consuming if your shower is not set up for them. I found that i had to take the shampoo bar out of the shower after every use cause we do not have a soap bar holder that is out of the spray of water, and it would shrink if i left it in there. I also found that if you share your shower with others make sure everyone knows it is a shampoo bar cause my dad once used i as soap for his body, and that was the end of my shampoo bar.

Overall if you get the right formulation for your hair they work just as well as liquid shampoo, however if you do decide to go over to shampoo bars i would suggest keeping a small amount of liquid shampoo incase you are running slow one day and just need to get in and out of the shwer with out any fuss.

i actually read some awful reviews of the lush solid shampoos somewhere but i can't for the life of me find them!

I know they had a hair product samples kit recently for about $25, but I'm not sure if they still have it. :/

Orangeeyecrayon, that was hilarious lol i deffenatly don't want that to happen lol, and i actually did think about that i mean it does look like soap so someone would deff use it as soap lol

i read some reviews on their website and they all seem to be pretty good, i tired to get a sample from them but they said they cant give a sample of their solid shampoo but they did give me a sample of their salt shampoo i believe it was called BIG for volume, and it turned out pretty good

even though it felt like you are rubbing salt into your hair at first but then it lathers pretty well

if you have dry hair it will work well, but if your hair tends to get greasy easily i would stay away from it.

I was using one with henna (not coloring) and morrocan clay, but it's been discontinued boo !

I really liked it, you just have to slightly wet the shampoo bar and foam on your hair, lol it takes a few seconds so i agree even if you think you're just rubbng salt into your hair, do lather it up and you'll see the foam appear quickly. Make sure you don't leave it in the shower where it can get wet accidentally because then it will melt like a classic soap does.

One i want to try some day is i think trichomania (i don't know, french and english names change), anyway it's their best seller with coconut for dry hair.

yeah i read about that one on the lush website and i also read the reviews for it,

they are pretty good the only thing is some people are saying that its not for everyday use because it dries hair out .... stuff like that confuses me... its supposed to help dry hair

i guess it works differently on different types of hair

also love that it has so many natural ingredients in it

i used to make a mask for my hair from yolk honey lemon juice and olive oil and it worked well

the smell was horrible though lol

I have tried the karma one, and hated it. It left a funky waxy buildup on my hair. Which was sad because I LOVED the scent and the idea of shampoo in a bar. I have also tried Big shampoo, the one that comes in a little tub. It has big granules of sea salt in it, and claims it will make your hair squeaky clean and shiny. I found that my hair could only tolerate it as a deep clean (like if I wanted to get hair product out), and I'd have to use a good conditioner afterwards, or else my hair was dry as straw and frizzy. I have normal hair thats color treated...

Anyway hopefully you have better luck than I did if you decide to try something out.

I went to lush because I wanted to try one of the solid shampoos too, but the salesgirl told me they would probably dry out my hair too much (I have long, curly color-treated hair) and recommended the curly wurly shampoo that comes in a tub. I love it so much, it makes my curls look great and it's so moisturizing I don't need conditioner.
