Okay, unfortunately I only have one picture of me with my hair down (I always keep it up in a sloppy bun) and it doesn't show the full length of my hair, but I hope it'll help.

I'm looking for a new hairstyle, one that doesn't involve cutting much of it off (I'm in the process of growing it out) and is relatively low maintenance. My hair is slightly longer than medium-- it ends a little below my collarbone.

I want something that doesn't make my face look so wide and....rectangular/squarish? I'm not sure what shape my face is but I know that it bugs me. XD

And...I really have no idea where to start. I've kept my hair short for years and I've never really given much thought to a longer cut until recently. I'm willing to experiment, as long as I don't have to work with it for an hour every morning.

Just a note: I take all of my pictures from a downward angle so I know it's hard for you to see the line of my jaw. It looks more rounded at an angle but I can tell you...it's pretty much square. ><

Why not add some bangs and med - long layers? You dont have to do much with the length but adding layers and a fringe generally changes your entire look PLUS its low maintanence.

Layers sound nice =) My hair has been thinning since I started growing it out, I could use a few layers.

I like the idea of bangs! I haven't had them since I was a kid, but I've always liked the look of them on other people. I'll definitely keep them in mind. Thanks!

Adding layers and bangs will increase the thickness of your hair adding body. Be sure to post pics once you've decided and got your hair cut!

If I can add one thing - go for a side part rather than a middle part. This may soften your look and therefore be a bit more flattering.

I'd love to see an after pic as well

I'll be sure to post after pictures when I have it done. I won't have any spare cash until sometime around the end of this month so it'll be a while, but the good thing is unlike my previous haircuts I'll have a long time to consider what I want. =)

Okay I'm nowhere closer to deciding on a hairstyle, unfortunately. D:

I know I want it layered, and I know I want bangs, but I can't decide on what kind of bangs because I'm not sure which ones would best fit my face... I kinda like these:

But I don't think my face is petite enough to pull them off. ;_;

I'm officially lost.

I think you're looking at the bangs in this picture and thinking you like them, but she also has a completely different hairstyle and hair texture (based on the pic) then you do. You gotta find something that works for YOUR face.

Yup I'm back again D:

Sorry for bumping my own post. I'm going for my haircut sometime this weekend and I was wondering if there were any more suggestions ._. I haven't found a style in particular that I like, so far my plan is just to tell the stylist I want layers/bangs and cross my fingers >_>
