These products either make frizzy hair smoother & straighter OR thin hair look thicker.

I want my naturally wavy hair to be sleek & straight. They recommend heat styling for better results. Who's tried these rather pricey products & what do you think?

I have curly-wavy, coloured hair so my hair is really frizzy in the hot, humid summer days. So I tried Living Proof last year.

First of all, I live in Canada. In order to get the product, I had it shipped to an American friend who then mailed it to me. The company wouldn't ship it to Canada.

I think it is now available in Canada so less hassles to get it.

Second, it is $24 for 4 oz.

Third. I honestly didn't think it was worth it. I've had just as much success with using styling lotions and silicone serums.

I think the idea is that you must use it every time you wash your hair. The build up will contribute to controlling frizz.

I got the small size, a 2 ounce, last week. I think it works well. Living in Florida, the humidity is awful. I have to wear my hair longer than I want b/c it is so frizzy. This product kept the humidity out and smoothed my hair without weighing it down the other heavy products I have been using. You use such a small amount that it really isnt as expensive as it seems. I finished my hair today with a bit of frizz-ease serum, and it worked even better than the other time I used the living proof. Oh, and I use the No Frizz styling cream straight making for medium to thick hair. There were like 10 products when I chose this one.

Question - what the heck does bump mean?

This is a new thread about a topic we don't hear very much about.

People type BUMP when a thread has gone down really far & maybe onto the next pg w/o very many responses, so a person may type that word to bring the thread back up to the very front to get more replies, BUT, this was a new thread, so it wasn't far down at all.

Anyway, I've seen this brand of products before & have been wanting to know how it works. I know Sephora carries it, but don't know which other stores.

I got a sample of their Full Thickening cream in a Sephora order, and I went back to purchase a small bottle of it because I liked it... it doesn't so much volumize as thicken... I can tell that my hair feels fuller and just like there's MORE of it after.

I might make a slight switch next time though, since I actually DO have lots of hair but it's just really fine and needs extra volume. I think they have a volumizing spray, I might get that next.

Actually, I do know what bump means. I don't understand why another muter would type BUMP on a day old thread. It seems to happen periodically...

Update on this product. I like it. I have 1 sample tube left, but I'll be buying it for sure. They have products to either straighten & make sleek, enhance wavy/curly hair, or volumize.

I just bought the little sizes today and when I was checking out the cashier was telling me that it was amazing! So I hope it works in this Florida humidity :/
