Hello All! Please Help!!

Well this is complicated - I was a dyed dark brunette for about 10-12 years and got it into my head to go back to being the "redhead I was" for a reunion. See, my hair's getting long again and I thought Hmmmmm...

I will spare you some boring details that involve color removers, dyeing and then colour corrector - yeesh!

Don't get me wrong I am very pleased with the results...I look YEARS younger, look GREAT in nearly no MAKEUP, and who knew I would look this much better in some of my clothes...

But as reds go...it's a bit tame - after all the fussing and correcting, I have good highlights and low lights and it does look very natural...but...it's not the red I used to have...I want more red!

Thing is I don't want it to get any lighter or darker - I just want it REDDER! I was looking at garnier "real red", but am worried it will make my hair darker...

Thanks!

You have to be careful about using a red dye that is too light for you - end result could be an orangey red. Not usually that flattering.

If you want to buy a hair dye, take a friend with you and have them find a red dye that would be about as dark as the red you have now.

If you redye at home, your highlights and lowlights will probably be affected.

Maybe the salon should redye the red while protecting the highlights/lowlights.

I love red hair and I think it's prettier than blonde hair so I think you should go ahead and get it done!
