i only ordered mine on saturday, but they normally ship things pretty quickly so i was surprised not to get a shipping confirmation today.

I used the pedi prep tonight and I loved it! It did a really job making my horrific callouses look like smooth skin. The provided foot file is really good quality! I think if i use it once a week for a month ill have smooth, sandal worthy feet! 

I just hate the smell of the pedi prep. I think its some sort of coffee smell and I hate coffee.

I've emailed and called...had to leave a message...about my brushes being messed up, no response for days now.. But I found some ad mail from them in my inbox? Grrr...that's bothersome to me. I'm emailing again tomorrow, then cancelling! Anyone else having issues getting a hold of them?

I just got a response back tonight.... I e-mailed them on the 4th. Thank you for reaching out to us. We sincerely apologize for the defective polish brush that arrived in this month’s Maven order. We are working as hard as possible to correct this issue, and will be sending replacements. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as that package has shipped. Please allow some time for the replacement to be shipped, to guarantee the brush quality. Thank you for your understanding and patience. That's the exact e-mail they sent. It would have nice if they had sent out a mass e-mail to everyone letting them know the situation and to contact them if you had defective brushes. But no, they sent me an e-mail to refer my friends. I finally got a reply from them today to the email I sent them on the 3rd.. same generic email a few ppl have posted so far.. I may not cancel right away it just depends on the polishes they send out since you can skip months with Julep. Has a mess up with brushes/polishes ever happened before? This is my first official month, I got the penny offer for April.

I got my Cinco de Mayo box today. It's not bad: glass file; small sized glycolic hand scrub; and 4 polishes: Alyson, Jessica, Emma, and Drew. I like all of them except Alyson, that one looks too warm for my skin tone but it might make an okay base for a glitter top coat.

STILL haven't gotten an email back from them about the brushes.

I emailed last week and called, then called again yesterday and still got an answering service. This afternoon, I finally got a generic response about they know the brushes are boo-boo and are working overtime to send replacements and correct the issue...blah blah.. Dunno, if this has happened before, because this was only my 2nd month. I might just cancel..There's a parlor about 30 minutes away and I could always go there or just purchase direct. We shall see, but the skip option is nice. For those who've skipped months, did you just do it online or have to call? If you did skip, were there any issues?

You just do it online. Its super easy, I've done it probably 3 or 4 times and NEVER had an issue.

This issue has never happened as far as I know.l

Good to know...I'm debating skipping my months or cancelling... For what I'm paying, I could do Glossybox when it FINALLY opens up!!! or just buy my own polishes @Sephora and other places..ARGGH..decisions, decisions..I'll wait another month or two and see, especially about how long my replacements will be.

Yeah, I won't cancel because free months are really easy to get, I really like the non-polish items they send out, and I like the polishes. As long as I can skip, I don't see much of a reason to cancel, yet.

Can you explain how we get the free months/deals to me? I had tried to order and none of the codes I tried would work..and I couldn't get anyone to pick up the phone. So I assumed all the codes were for newbies only.

Well surprisingly 2 people are very easy to come by when you tell them about the penny codes and the ability to skip! 

I just put hayden on and all I see is kraft mac and cheese...not sure how I feel about this color haha.

I might do that..i know a couple of friends are envious of the polish lol...as far as mac  n cheese..i like to eat it, not wear it lol..the color would be striking on tan or darker skin...i had a color like that and it made me crazy washed out looking!

I think it's the undertone, not how dark it is. I'm as light as you can find, but I have cooler/bluish undertones, so Hayden looks good. ::shruggle::
