hello.. i have a very cheap hair straightner that i bough years ago at a drug store or something... basicaly it sucks! . i was wondering if i buy one around the 90-100 dollar price range would it be that much of a difference? the one i have now is NOT ceramic btw.. some cheap crap.

Yes it will make a huge difference!! My first iron was a cheapo, then I bought the Chi! Wow, my hair was so silky and would stay straight for days!

I've never owned a CHI, but that's all they use when I go to the salon. I can tell the difference between the CHI and other "generic" brands... My sister swears by CHI, and she's about the most daily use of a straightening-iron girl I know!

most definately makes a huge difference. i dont own a CHI, but i hear they are awesome. i have the MAXIGLIDE by Maxius off of HSN, and it was 79.99 when i got it and i was soooo amazed at how much better your feels and looks.

i got my chi yesterday and omg its soo cool! it heated up in like 2 seconds well i felt it was hot right after i plugged it in and i did half of my hair in 5 mins. which usually takes like 25 mins. my hair lenth is right below my bobos.

i bought the sedu straightener about 3 weeks ago for 125.00 and yes it does make a huge difference , i had a cheap one too and my hair would re frizz half of the day and with the sedu it stays straight for about 3 days maybe longer but i washed my hair after that, i love my new sedu

Good quality usually comes with a (not-so-good) price... Like the old Chinese proverb, "Cheap things are not good, good things are not cheap".

Unfortunately, I'm not a Chi owner, but I've heard so many good things about that iron! It seems to work wonders.

I've bought a few generic brands and not surprisingly it was a disappointment (that I actually spent money on them) and that the results weren't what I expected, compared to my iron I got at folica.com

lol, yes it does make a difference! I have used this really bad metal one for awhile, and then i found my self continually stealling my sisters which was about $80 from a salon.

I now have one my self. I just got it less than a week ago! It was like $100 at my salon, its called tourmaline from cricket. This is soo great and its a brand new product! My hair is perfectly straight, and these do sooooooo much less damage to your hair, and you know when you straighten your hair and it gets a little boucncy like throughout the day!??!? Well for some reason it doesn't happen no more! And my hair feel soo soft! I LOVE it!
