I've seen a lot of people a few months ago who dyed black. I wonder is this still in when winter comes? what's the latest to hairstyle and color for the winter?

I didn't realize hair colors had to change with the seasons... I say wear your hair in whatever color you want whenever you want! I quit coloring my hair again since I went back to relaxers, but generally it's always a darker color... I think it's just that the world is realizing blonde isn't the only hair color that looks hot... Brunettes do it better anyway LOL! j/k!

In or out my hair is staying black

I hope it isn't out...I think it'd piss me off if someone said my natural haircolor was out of fashion, lol! Do whatever you feel like, don't follow trends! Follow your own heart's desire and you'll find yourself ahead of them!

maybe the color is just "in" right now due to the emo/punk/skull influences

yeah i think people go darker in the fall/winter and others go lighter in the spring/summer.

once a year i dye my hair dark so i can "start ove" with highlites and i usually do it in winter. im not sure why because i think dark hair looks better on me with tan skin...

Well, clothes-wise, black and red are in for winter....

I would love to dye my hair black but I don't think my freckles would appreciate it

For me any haircolor would do for any occassion, its not important what color you have for this season what's important is you know how to take care your hair keep it shiny, smooth and healthy. There's no use in changing hair colors if you don't know how to take care your hair you're doing more harm to it.

Actually, I think black hair and non-highted hair in general is BETTER for winter! It looks great. Usually bold hilghlights are more associated with summer (when one is always in the sun), but actually that isn't even necessarily true. Do what you want and go for it!

But then again, who cares?! As long as you're confident and comfortable with it, go for it!

I agree that a lot of people want lighter for summer and darker for winter.

Another reason could be that lightening can be damaging and since it's colder it can dry out the hair more, so the reason behind going darker might be to prevent damage.
