I realized I'm desperate to do something with my hair.
*I'm sorry, I'm not really familiar with hairstyle/haircut llingo and terms, plus I'm not native English speaker, so forgive me silly questions and lack of knowledge in this area.*
My hair is wavy and easy to model, but I have big problems finding hairstyles that suit me due to my face shape. I don't look good with my hair totally off the face, I don't look good with my hair over face, I have too short forehead and bangs are not an option. I had short hair almost all my life and I really want to let it grow (after I molested it for years with hair dye and still paying for it with dry and split ends...now I'm not dying it to let it recover and been cutting ends for over year - grows out sooooo slooowly ).
I've been having same hairstyle for years now: divided on right side of the head, a bit shorter around chin, 2 layers of hair. Poo
I go to hair stylist and ask them do they have any ideas, and they recommend me or short hair or just gradually cut hair (layered? er, I don't know term here...)
I was thinking a bit shorter hair on my face with some strands of hair covering my cheek bones (they are a bit too much accented) so it almost looks I have short hair, with some bangs...? Like this? (not the whole hairstyle, just hair on the face)
Would I pull off some kind of bangs? And the behind would stay long, maybe layered.
Is it a mullet what I'm talking about? *mortified by the image of 80s football players O.O*) Will it suit me at all? I want to let my hair grow long, but I don't know what to do with my hair in front! And I was thinking of striped hair or highlights or to color one strand of my hair in purple or red (some bright color anyway
