I'm having my hair cut short! so fed up with it...

I'm seriously considering having my hair cut short, I just want all this horrible yellow bleach out of my hair. My hair isn't in good condition either

. Could anyone recommend a short hair cut that would easily grow back into long hair (over a long period of time). If you know what I meen, I don't want it all in different layers so my hair grows back all weird. Thanks x

Have you cheked our Ultimate Style thread? There's a few pics & links in there that can give you some ideas. If you want it to grown in all one length, then a bob is probably you're best bet. Where is the blonde? Your hair looks dark in your avatar, so i'm just curious. Also, how short do you want to go?

Its got a semi permanent colour on top but its going gold now it it looks awful

Have you tried coloring over it w/ a darker color?

No I haven't, but my hair is in bad condition so I don't want to make it worse

I did the same thing your talking about, a couple years ago a hairdresser went crazy on my color and took me really blond & my hair was so damaged from it - I couldn't stand it anymore - so I chopped it off - best dec. ever made. I have just now deceided to grow it out. I did a long bob w/layers, then I wanted a shorter bob w/a stacked back, after that I went to a long bob w/o layers & now I'm back to a bob w/layers. They were all cute, but the longer bob w/layers was the easiest with my hair type. I don't think you can go wrong getting a bob w/layers....Good luck!!

i wouldn't recommend cutting your hair short unless you really want short hair. it sounds like you just want to cut out the color you don't like. i wouldn't recommend doing that. i would see a colorist - perhaps a new colorist recommended by a friend you trust - and see what your options are. go for a consult first. short cuts really do look best with layers, so if you don't get layers cos you want to grow it out all one length, it really won't look too hot. i think cutting your hair short can be sort of traumatic unless you REALLY want short hair!

Yea I know, My mum talked me out of it lol. I've booked a appointment for next monday at the hairdressers so hopefully she can come up with something. I just want the yellow in my hair toned right down, since I'm pale (cool toned) the warm tone of the gold/yellow dosen't suit me

. I want to grow my hair out too, which will take some time, and where the bleach is its all going lol.. no more colour in my hair again! x

Yeah, you definitely don't want to do anything drastic on a whim... you'll end up kicking yourself the next day and you'll think that what you had probably wasn't so bad after all. It's one thing to go shorter b/c you want to, or if you have to to repair a bad cut. But color can always be changed, and you can help to condition hair by using deep conditioners and heat treatments..
