Hello everyone, well last time I needed help achieving a style, everyone gave me ideas and I was able to do it! THank you everyone!!!! Well know I was wondering if you could tell me how to do this one. Not so much the pony tail, but how to get hair curly like that, kind of like waves. Ive heard that as soon as you get out of the shower you braide it loosely and then let it air dry. Does that Work? THank you, jdepp_84

That is really pretty. Right now my hair is shorter, but when it is long it naturally dries like that.

I wonder if you could scrunch your hair a little with some mousse in it while you dry it to achieve that.

The other way that may work is to twist your hair in a scruncy since it is loose. You know how you would when you pile it up on your head?

If you have layers in your hair you can get the wavy/messy style. Use the following steps.

  • Dry your hair normally.
  • Apply a frizz control serum or cream to smooth hair.
  • Apply a texturizing SPRAY wax to the layers only. This begins to seperate the layers. Don't over spray! A little does alot!
  • After you spray the wax, fluff your hair FROM THE BOTTOM of your hair LIGHTLY to seperate the layers.
  • Spray with hairspray to hold style. (optional)
That's all there is to it!

I do this style all the time.

but thanks! Don't get layers just to get that look. Of course, if you want layers, then go for it!! Layers do give you some ability to vary styles. I love my layers!
You can get really close to that style without a layer cut. You would just have to roll your hair on BIG rollers. You can use the same steps I wrote above, but you will have to scrunch your hair with your hands after the spray wax. You would definitely want to spray it to hold the style without layers. Oh, and VERY lightly apply the frizz serum or cream. That can pull out the curl if you use a heavy hand.

Put it in two piggy tails over night, that should work, if not then just run the curlers over it and if it creates tight curls lightly brush them out.

I have naturally wavy hair. I apply Bumble and Bumble curl cream to my hair when it's damp. I kinda scrunch it and twist it, then let it dry naturally. The result is very much like that look.

Well I was thinking of getting anyways because my hair dosen't have a real hair style, just side bangs and thats it, and even those side bangs are too long now.

when my hair is wet sometimes i let it dry just a bit and then i pick through it and put my hair in a ponytail, then put another ponytail in it, i use 3 o4 4 hairbands...the first one at the back of my head like normal, the next one further down the ponytail/bunch of hair, the next one further down...and so on. I use a tiny bit of gel and let it dry naturally, then i take it out very carefully after the hair is completely dry. it's hard to describe without a picture, i want to say it's like having a segmented ponytail.

the effect is much more wave than in those pictures but it comes out very nice, you could try that as well. It's easy to work with and gives the hair a lot of body/bounce.
