Hi Guys, I need help here,

I want to dye my hair and this time I want to do it by myself, My natural hair color is black, and I have deep golden brown highlight on it which I did in salon , I like to change my base color to kinda dark brown, I talked to salon and they told me it's gonna cost me around $200, cause it's a double processing ! I can not afford these prices any more, so I decided to color a small part of my hair , and if it gets the color i want , i'm gonna color the whole hair , just wanna know which brand for hair color is the best and easiest to work with, cause this is my first time, and if anybody did it before , any tips?? Thank you for your help

I recommend Garnier Nutrisse personally, or their 100% Color. Try buying a warm brown shade, maybe even lighter by a shade or two than you want. My hair used to be darker (seems to have naturally lightened over time), and I used to buy an almost ash blonde color to lighten my brown hair. That's just me there though.

Since this is your first time, I'd make sure you follow the directions 100% to the T. Have someone with you to ensure you're covering ALL of your hair instead of it gobbing in one spot and not getting somewhere else. Just be extremely careful, or else you'll end up in the salon anyway for a bigger issue, and it could cost more. Best of luck!

I agree with Aquiliah. Follow the directions. I also have black hair and I used Herbal Essences both times. Since your hair's black I suggest finding a color near that. I had a bad experience. My hair almost turned an orange! Look at the label to see what hair color it's for.

I have always used garnier, too. But my hair is light so I can't help there. All I know is that garnier has always given me the best results.

I agree with Aquilah's advice. I use Nutrisse myself. I want to add one piece of advice: since you are going a few shades lighter, don't use a "golden" colour such as medium golden brown or dark golden brown. You might end up with an brownish-auburn tone.

thank u guys , I'll try to post a picture after I'm done,
