I want to color my hair

Well, i have a wavy dark brown hair and i want to dye it red , like Addison Sheperd's hair (Grey's Anatomy)... I just love red hair , and i would like to have opinions if it would look good or not. Also i wanted tips on how to take care of it properly

i would go to a professional hair salon to achieve this look. i would

not take the chance of doing it myself. bring good pic(s)(like the one above) of the

color you want to the salon to show them what u have in mind.then u can take it from there.

I'll have it done by a lady who comes at my house, she's a pro , but i'll do it with drugstore colors (? i think you can understand) , i just can't afford to have it done in a salon right now

I think it will also look great on you and you should give it a shot! I have naturally brown hair(not as dark as yours) just so you know I found that red fades a lot. You might want to try out a henna dye which will take longer to fade but you can't chemically dye over it.

My mom wasn't in the mood to let me dye my hair the last time i asked... Maybe if i buy the dye she'll let me do it

I have been thinking about this too... I have been thinking about getting myself some highlights but I am a chicken, i don't have the guts to do it. LOL I have never done anything to my hair except for washing it.

I am afraid it will get dry and frizzy if I get the highlights...

Red fades so quickly, make sure you use a shampoo for color treated hair better yet use one specifically designed for red hair.

Since i have dark brown hair which had never been dyed before, it'll go as dark or darker than the Kate Walsh pic

I really like firey hair, like the one on the attachment, but i don't think that i'd look good on it.

I think it would look great. My friend had very dark brown hair and coloured all over with red and it looks great
