Hi guys! I have naturally curly/wavy hair but I really hate it, so I always straighten it. Since I live in a dry mountain climate it stays straight for the most part, unless it rains. When it does rain, I won't go outside at ALL, because it makes my hair go poofy and curly, and it's so ugly.

I'm stressing out big time, since I'm going to California in a week with my three best friends (all attractive boys, so I really want to look nice!) and I really don't want to be self-conscious the whole time I'm there. The humidity in Cali isn't kind to my hair at all, and it gets poofy.

Do any of you know good products to help me fight the poof and curl? I really don't want anything that will weigh down my hair or make it look greasy...I just don't want it to curl or frizz out on me.

I'd really appreciate some suggestions!!

Thanks,

Jen

No problem!

And I just realized how it sounded, but I was not remarking on your advice lol.

I have naturally curly hair but straighten it now. When I went to Barbados a couple of years ago I suffered frizzy hair (almost like Monica from friends

) but thankfully I had my john frieda frizz ease serum and it seemed to do the trick. I use it everytime I wash my hair now. It is really clever stuff because if you have curly hair it defines your curls so there is no frizz and if you have straight hair then it gives it a smooth glossy appearance.
