Hi, I'm 17 and my senior year is going to start pretty soon. My hair has gotten pretty long and I kinda wanna change it up a bit but don't know how.

I usually ask for side bangs and long layers. I have pretty thin/fine hair and need to use a lot of mousse. I've had the same hairstyle for a while. I did get highlights back in February. I'm pretty lazy with styling it but I've thought of going just below the shoulder. But it might be to thin to do that! I'm not sure.

I really like spikey ends on the end of the hair. Lol, idk what it is called or how to explain it. But just not straight ends maybe razored in?

I also thought about low lights for the fall or maybe adding more blonde highlights. I'm 5ft 10in so I don't want a short haircut and I like long hair. So any kinda change or ideas you guys have would be great.

I added pictures to help out. Any ideas about a cut/colors would be great. Thank you so much.

Sorry for all the pictures. I added one from Christmas before I got my highlights. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

I'd wait til you are nearing your graduation dance. You don't want to find you've made a mistake buy cutting your hair too short for how you want to wear it for graduation. You have very beautiful hair.

I'd do some maintenance, like cutting the ends. You could try your hair a little shorter while keeping the layers. It's usually what i do with mine, cut the ends, keep the front layers (i don't have bangs).

A styling idea you could try is switching your side part, it gives your hair more volume.

I know technically anything can be damaging for a thin hair, but you could try curling it every once in a while, even if it's just with a round brush and a blowdryer. I also like to braid my hair (while still damp) for a soft wavy look.

Woww, thank you guys so much! It really did help & thanks for the ideas and compliments!

I agree with you.

I agree with I wouldn't go for big change this year because you'll have so many photos/memories this year. I would just maybe get an inch off the length and go for a little bit of a shorter bang. It looks like your bangs are shorter in the picture where you have a red top on and I think they look great!

Just an idea for the future: I think you'd look great as a chestnut brown!

I think your hair is great.

If you're getting bored you could try getting some darker highlights aswell as some lighter ones.

Don't get anything too drastic like black but just add a few tones and variation.

Again, you could try playing around with different partings and styles of bangs, but honestly, your hair is absolutely gorgeous.

If you want to add more volume naturally, or just give it a bit of a lift without expensive products (these do help though) is wrap your hair in a towel on top of your head and just leave it to dry like that, in the towel. It will take longer to dry and you might need to change the bit of the towel on your hair and it gets damp and holds the wetness.
