I just got that awesome gift idea for a guy

IMO silicone mold are garbage. I tried them and my cake turned out like terrible. I believe the reason is the transference of heat is much lower on silicone. I've used both and I swear by metal tins. No, I'm not a pro, but pros use metal not silicone. Gee... there wouldn't be a reason for that would there?

Gee... there wouldn't be a reason for that would there? i think some pros here use silicone mold. i swear by metal ones, but as my brother prefers the silicones ...i think i'll get him two, they were out of stock for P90 stock extensions so i cancelled my order
