Hi guys!! i just recently got my hair highlighted... once again blonde and now the majority of my head is blonde but see i have a problem eventually when i keep washing my hair the color kinda fades, maybe it's because i haven't really been paying attention to what shampoo i been using and not really for color treated hair. but does anyone know a really GOOD shampoo and conditioner or ANYTHING I can use to keep my hair staying blonde? i really really would appreciate it..

Thanks!!

Maybe a good color care shampoo. I use Biolage, and I really like it. The smell is also wonderful.

I have seen a lot of blonde hair shampoos/conditioners even in Walmart. But I am not sure how well they work. I think it is called Brilliant Blonde (John Frienda), I think Sunsilk has one too.

There is this stuff called Shimmer Lights (I think its by Clairol??) that you can pick up at Sally's Beauty Supply. Its a purple bottle and it comes out bright purple, don't be alarmed though lol. It keeps blonde, grey and white hair from fading and getting dirty looking. I used to use it for my highlights. Just don't use it everyday, maybe like 1 time a week on all your blonde, root to tip and then 2-3 times a week on just the roots, because it could stain your skin purple. I never had any purple stainage but I guess a friend used it like everyday and her neck and back began looking purple-ish. I reccommed getting this or the John Frieda color glaze.

Asfor a shampoo/conditioner I would get the John Frieda Sheer Blonde, I use the one for brunettes and it is awesome. Along with the shampoo/conditioners I would get the color glaze (use either this or the shimmer lights, I don't know about using both). Right now at Ulta, they are having a sale on these items, you can pick up a kit of the shampoo, conditioner and 2 mini bottles of the color glaze for $10 and if you use the $3.50 off coupon, it comes out to like $7.50, a really good deal! I would say that you are the platinum to champaign. Hope this helps!

Be careful with the Shimmer Lights. If you leave it on too long or use it too much it WILL turn your blonde WHITE!!!!!!! I know this from first-hand experience. It will take several weeks for it to go back to "almost normal" once it goes white. It will not go all the way back to the original blonde color.
I second the John Frieda Sheer Blonde, it's awesome. I use the shampoo, conditioner, detangler and spray wax.

I use Revlon Color Care, it works great. I have dark brown hair and I highlight my hair all the time... the highlights really never fade. I've never had any problems. I'll usually switch from Revlon to Matrix ... but always color care.

That's right my mom use to use that stuff !! her hair is blonde too. I remember seeing it in the shower haha. I heard that's REALLY good stuff, i did some research on it.

thank you all sooo very much i really really truely appreciate it <3

I like Freeda Glaze thing that they sell at Target, also DONT USE A CLEANSER EVERYDAY, IT WILL MAKE YOUR COLOR FADE!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure your shampoo is not one, Only use it once or twice a week.

hey guys i been using alot of John Frieda Products. i have to say that stuff is amazing my hair never felt so nice and looked so good before!! and the color isn't fading i am so happy!! =) thank you all!

Look for shampoos that are for color treated hair. I like Redken.

When I had my hair highlighted a while ago, the hairdresser recommended me PPS shampoo and condition which has the colour in it and revitalises the hair!
