I Highlighted my hair, now its all frizzy!!

My hair is naturally very curly and usually when I straighten it it comes out alright. Since I've highlighted it, its ok curly but when I try to straighten it , it just looks like a big bale of hay! I bought some reconstructor from Joico and that only helped a bit.. any suggestions... thank you!

Coconut oil can help your hair get stronger and healthier.

Apply the oil to your dry hair, wait an hour, wash hair well and follow with a good conditioner.

Olive oil and advocado oil can also penetrate the hair shaft and help repair it.

Check out the other threads on coconut oil as many MUTers have given great advice in those as well.

Yup, sounds like you damaged it. Keep deep conditioning and use that coconut oil and stay away from all heat (flat iron, curling iron, etc.)

Start doing some deep conditioning treatments that are safe for colored hair if thats what you have. I tried going the natural route a few times to moisturize (I used Oilve oil) and all it did was strip my color so I'd be careful with that! But definitely look into weekly deep conditioning- should help and keep up with those protein treatments too!

Joico K pak products are really good deep conditioners..
