Anybody did go back to their NATURAL HAIR COLOR ??!!

P.S I will post some pics soon

Definately a proffessional. Perhaps get your hairdresser to colour your hair a colour close to your root colour, so then when your dye is growing out it isn't as obvious.

I think the only thing you can do is dye your hair to match your natural hair color and wait for it to grow out. Good luck!

i did. it was bright stoplight red in the front of my hair. then after a 1+ years i gave up and wanted to go back to my normal color. i went and got my hair colored to something close to my natural color, so not its not really noticeable since ive been growing the color all out.

the bad part is since im not dying it anymore, i can see any grey hair i have coming out.

i have dark brown hair. I had it dyed platinum/white blonde and just took a box of dye and dyed over the blonde. I had to get it cut alot since the color would fade off the blonde, now its not too bad it just looks like my hair is sun bleached. Im alot happier now that its back to normal. Ask your hair dresser to keep putting highlights to lessen the appearence of the roots growing in

THX GIRLS !!! yeah I was considering dying my hair only at the HAir salon (LOL) bad experience with home dying methods haha

after years of coloring my hair i just decided to go back to my natural black hair color. I went to a colorist and let me tell you took me some time to get used to it, but what a difference it has made to the texture of my hair. looks so much healthier and i took the advise of one of my girlfriends and do a gloss every few months, no chemicals and hair is super shiny. so go to your regular hairdresser and just have them do it, so they don't ruin your hair.

I read an article somewhere recently about this. I'll try to find it and post it all here! But what I dod remember is that you can ask for lowlights that match your natural hair color, so it doesn't look quite so obvious that your growing your hair out. Go back for touch ups every 6-8 weeks or so!

I'll try to find the article!

Hmm... Im just shampooing it often and letting it grow out. Since I didn't like how my highlights basically driedout my already nappy-ass hair. Haha. And the color went ugh...

Good advices, girls. Keep'em coming please!

I did! I have dark blonde hair and had it very light. In december I went and had it coloured to match my natural colour. Got it done darker as the colour faded quickly due to my hair being so light. Then a month ago I evened it out with a ashy blonde all over. Now Im getting ready to do a quarter to half head of foils to make it a little lighter for summer! I have to say I prefer being a little blonder, but it has been ok with a change

i used to color my hair platinum, my natural hair color is a dark strawberry blonde.....if you go to a salon they can use demi permanent color to add lowlights as your hair grows out

i let the platinum grow out by using L'oreal color gems (a demi permanent color from sally beauty supply), i spliced in lowlights in my natural color to break up the root line from the platinum hair

it will fade at first, so about 4 weeks apart i would add the lowlights again (and each time using a protein filler before adding the color)..

its been a year and i am so glad to be free of bleaching!

I don't know that it's the only thing you can do, but it does seem like a good idea. Consulting a professional haircolorist is probably also the right way to go.I have naturally dark blonde hair and let it grow out, from a highlighted medium blonde shade, a few years ago. But I guess I did it kind of sloppily, roots showing and everything, for quite a few months--if I were to do it again, I'd definitely first dye it my natural color, or just the roots,if you want to stay away from the dye.
