I have dry skin for which I need to apply a good moisturizing lotion even in hot summer months. But because, I am out in the sun the whole day, I need sunscreen too. This is like too much for me; first apply the body lotion and then slather the sunscreen. My friend suggested me to use new parachute summer fresh body lotion which has coconut milk extracts for my dry skin. She says that it has double sun screens. What are your thoughts? Can I start using it?

Is your skin flaking? Try adding exfoliation. Yes, sunscreen is good and should be used year-round. I'm not familiar with this Parachute product, but it never hurts to try something new, especially if your normal moisturizer isn't doing enough for your skin.

Summer is a time to relax and rejuvenate. At the same time, summer sun can be very harsh on your soft skin and deep fry your natural looks. Its good questioning. Lotions that include coconut milk are known best for the dry skin. Although I'm not familiar with this Parachute product, but I think its good if we always wear a sunscreen when working in the yard. After showering, apply a layer of moisturizer to your skin. We should have Select a product that contains vitamin E.

In order for me to not be itchy and flaky, I have to exfoliate. I use a combination of St. Ives Purify Exfoliating shower gel and CVS Pink Grapefruit 2% Salicylic Acid shower gel at least 2 times a week. I mix the 2 on a wash rag and scrub away. Other days I use a plain (I mean not gritty) shower gel, but I like the feel of the salt in the St. Ives, so sometimes I mix it with my plain shower gel, too. I cannot tell you how happy I was when I discovered the St. Ives/Salicylic Acid combo. It's the only thing that works for me. I thought I would have itchy, flaky skin forever. Lotion, moisturizer, nothing worked.

Thanks ladies for your suggestions. I have started using parachute summer fresh body lotion and am loving it. It has cooling mint extracts that tingles my skin and leaves it fresh. I am happy with this product at the moment. But Peridot, will def try St. Ives after the hot summers.

I use FC5 Moisturizing Night Crème ... I use that during winter, though.... The other seasons I am oily/combo... It's insane how your skin changes lol.. there again, I used to have acne issues so I guess it will always be a mini struggle with my skin changing its type on me.
