I have very oily hair. Every shampoo/conditioner out there it seems is made for damaged/brittle/dry hair.. Are there any shampoo/conditioners out there for oily hair?

All of them seem to weigh my hair down and make it even oilier.

Look for clarifying, volumizing or "extra body" shampoos.

I have used Tame Extra Body Shampoo - dirt cheap and will definately help remove oil from the scalp.

Tame is sold everywhere - the bottle will be clear and shampoo is colourless.

I have oily hair too. Well just the top half. The ends are dry. I have tried clarifying shampoo (Suave usually to get rid of oil and buildup). but it seems to make it worse after a day. Volumizing shampoo works best for me, but I still have to put it up every other day or it gets greasy. If I wash it every day my ends get split ends and so dry they are crunchy. Head and Shoulders is pretty good too, it controls oil a bit, just not the Smooth and Silky one. Also just putting Conditioner on the ends helps me.

Back in the days when my hair was oily, I loved the head and shoulders shampoo.

My hair is on the oily side and always greasy by day 2. I hate starting fresh and putting my hair through all that styling everyday so I use dry shampoo spray. It's big such a big help for me. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with shampoo/conditioner formulated for oily hair but I wanted to suggest this in case you have the similar issues that I had.

Salon Graphix, but after it's gone I'll be trying Baptiste. I've heard good things and apparently Sally's sells it so it'll fit in the budget. Hope that helps and please let me know if you find a helpful shampoo and conditioner!
