Okay, so I just colered and highlighted my hair at home for the first time. Normally I go to the salon, but I just thought I would try to do it myself. Loreal Couleur Experte in Spiced Chestnut, and its a cute color but it looks kinda brassy. Is there anything I can use or do to get rid of the brassy look, because it looks pretty tacky! :scared:

oops! I spelled colored wrong LOL!

Do you have a Sally's Beauty Supply store near you? I think they sell toner there. I've used it before when I had some orange spots and brassy spots in my hair and it brought them right out.

For a temporary fix, you could try FanciFull. It's like a color rinse.

Sorry I'm not much help.

I say go with a toner too. Layering colors usually gives you more brassiness and damage.

yes, definitely try toner! i've had a similiar experience, and the toner helped, and it's something you can do yourself.
