Ive only had them in two weeks (remy hair) and instead of being nice and smooth, soft streaks they have gone bushy and wirey, dried out and I dont know what to use on them, They went like this after the first time i washed my hair, I've looked after them but I dont see why they have gone like this, Its happened before but I have a full head now and its more noticable

They looked gorgeous when I first had them fitted and now they are so horrible and dry, anything I can use to solve this problem?

unfortunatley is sounds like they just use bad hair!! If it has been treated too much

the hair degrads and you end up with what you have now.

The reason is felt nice at first is because it is coated with silicone but as soon

as you was it you end up with the true state of the hair they put in you.

I would go back and show them and see what they recommend.

That happened to me too and it was human hair! The first time the hair got wet it frizzed out and knotted up. I ended up removing it because it never looked good!

I buy them and fit them myself so I cant complain to anyone, I thought Remy hair was good? and I've seen some spray in conditioners that help stop the frizz/static state if they work anyway?..

If I wash and straighten my hair really nice I can control the static effect for the day but its a pain to see it in this state when its all frizzed out.

Its not like I can never wash my hair, but is there any dry shampoo spray in shampoo I could use to avoid having to wash so much

its probably synthetic hair... a lot of companies lie and say that the hair is human...when in reality its just higher-grade synthetic there are shampoos and styling products made just for wigs ...if u dont live near a beauty supply store go online and look

could do. ive tried buying from different places n always get the same problem, only at the ends tho, and i dont wanna cut it. im gonna take them out and put more in, its a shame cus it means having to buy more all the time, luckily i have another 100 odd spare so i can use them, im gonna try some of the anti static spray conditioner and see if it helps

i know u have to buy special shampoo etc for fake hair, and also a brush to stop this from happening, i only know this cause of my mum she had had everything in her hair!! and she has so much products for the hair!! i know tha shamp and cond was expensive also, but i also read wat was in it and i think there was alot of silicone in them, and u have to wash then gently, ur suppose to mainly wash the roots of ur hair anyways, not the hair itself, as i know there is a claner u can leave in the fake hair if it begins to smell

Hmm do you know of any good shampoos and conditioners that would work for my extensions? Ive seen some but I wouldnt know which would be best.

If you KNOW it's real human hair, then get a good moisturizer. I used Bed Head After Party on my extensions to get them smooth. Works like a charm

hmm will have to talk to my mum about this will get back to u tomorrow.

also it does sound like a high end synthetic as u also notice that human hair is alot heavier then synthetic.

I always buy remy human hair. At the min I have removed the extensions and ive never felt so bald! my hairs so short and thinner without them its depressing! Im gonna reattatch some new ones tomorrow and really try to look after them and spend alot on some products to keep them looking nice.

Thanks for all the help and reccomendations, Im gonna look into that bedhead product, Ive heard of it but if it works well on extensions thats great

if it's true remy hair...it wouldn't be coated with silicone..non-remy hair like those found at a beauty supply store that doesn't say 100% remy hair is coated with silicone..but remy hair is hair that is cuticle aligned so there's no need to coat with silicone...non-remy hair is hair that they gather up from the floor or off brushed once they cut off the donor's head...the cuticles aren't aligned so to make it nice and shiny and soft to the touch they coat it with silicone...if you buy non-remy hair the coating will eventually wear off..but if it's remy you shouldn't have that problem..i would contact where you brought the hair from, if they're reputable and you haven't done anything to alter the hair they should have no problems exchanging (sometimes you get a bad batch)..if not you can try washing with a moisturizing shampoo and using silicone mix conditioner to get the hair to behave...although this might be a temporary fix..

you know what it is you aren't caring for it properly

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT JUST SLEEP ON YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS

it will look frizzy nasty and fake!@!!!!

you MUST MUST MUST set it at night before you sleep

you can either

*pincurl it

*set it in rollers

*wrap it around your head

*rag curl it

also, what is more important is that you cover your hair when you sleep

use a silk scarf to tie your hair at night otherwise it'll get frizzy from rubbing against your pillow

*edit you should also brush and comb it regularly and trim the ends lightly because frizzy ends are never sexy lol

it could be the way your caring for it. If not you could always use some other silicon based products to smooth the frizzies
