Hi everyone!

I have a serious bad problem with dandruff. It's driving me nuts for several years now.

It all started when I was about 15. It was really bad, my head scalp was really dry... but somehow I had it under control thanks to Head & Shoulders shampoo. Then, I had this obsession with olive oil (I used to put it on my hair - a lot! cause it was so dry), and after months the dandruff was vanished.

I've stopped putting olive oil in my hair, cause it was making it really greasy.

And now, it's there again, and it's even more worse than before!

I went to the dermatologist, and he told me that I should use this strong shampoo cause he thought it might be somekind of an infection in my scalp.

I've been using this shampoo for months now, it was quite good at the beginning... but now it's terrible. It's literally burning my scalp. It's so weird to explain.

I still have dandruff, and I feel it's stronger now than before. There's dandruff crusts and when I accidentally scrutch them, blood comes out.

I stopped using the shampoo the dermatologist gave me.

Also, I noticed that the dandruff is not dry anymore, it makes my roots very greasy in no-time, and I'm losing much hair.

Any suggestions? What shall I do?

There seems to be a lot of sites that deal with tea tree oil and dandruff. Here's a recipe I coped for you:

How to Use Tea Tree Oil for Dandruff

In some studies using a 5% solution of tea tree oil significantly reduced dandruff and test subjects with mild to moderate cases of dandruff. The results were based on a four week study typically. You can make your own 5% solution of tea tree oil to use on a daily basis, using a simple formula.

For each 32 ounces of shampoo use 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil

For each 100 mL of shampoo use one tea spoon of tea tree oil

A rough formula for getting the approximate amount of tea tree oil per milliliter of shampoo is to divide the number of milliliters by two and add the results in drops to the shampoo. For instance, if you have 100 mL of shampoo, divided by two, the result is 50 mL. You would add about 50 drops of tea tree oil to create a roughly 5% solution. There are about 60 drops of tea tree oil per teaspoon, so you can see that this will give you a close approximation.

Use this tea tree oil for dandruff shampoo daily, and if you're like most of the folks in the studies in about four weeks you to may find your dandruff gone completely.
