Help - curling asian hair extensions!!!

Girls, I'm in desperate need of help!I just got a set of 22'' straight clip-ins.The hair is asian.It blends into my hair perfectly and is shiny and all, BUT it's extremely unmanageable.I can only wear it straight and it doesn't hold curls or waves.Do you know of any way to soften it?I've been trying to get it look like that...



...or that( tried to curl the ends only):



..and I just can't get the results I'm after. I haven't washed it yet, do you think it may get better after I do?

So, if there are any asian ladies or hairstylists on this forum with a solution for this problem, I'd much appreciate it if you share! I'd try anything - curling irons, rollers, any kind of products...Please help!

Asian hair is naturally resistant to curling. My two nieces were adopted as infants from Korea. They are both now in their 20's. They have never been able to keep a curl in their hair...even with perms.

I remember reading somewhere that either the shaft or the cuticle of Asian hair has a somewhat different structure. This different structure makes it very strong and less prone to breakage and split ends, but it is also the reason that Asian hair cannot maintain a curl.

If it is human hair, It should be able to curl. Maybe try some hot hair curlers and a good holding spray, like Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine.

if it's chinese remy it should be able to curl...you can do a wet set with diluted lottabody and rollers..if it still doesn't hold..do a permanent on the hair.
