i am going in for 3 more ipl laser treatments, after my first 3 i stated seeing a difference in the thickness of my skin, texture etc. 3 more will helpful start attacking those wrinkles by brow line and shrinking my pores, if it does not do get me results on my lines by brow and bridge of nose i would try botox at least once, heck i will do about anything once. i've already got 1,600.00 dollars in the laser treatments.

To all the girls who said they wouldn't get Botox, how about if it was for free? Would you still get it? My answer would still be no, I don't think I would get it.

even if it was free, i'm realli scared of the needle.

. I'm a wuss hehe. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that like my mom and my grandmother .... my skin will still look great as i age

i would try it in 5-10 years...like someone else mentioned. i read in the new issue of allure that if you start using it for maintaince in your mid-20's...when you first start seeing signs of forehead wrinkles, etc., then you should start. they said that they had a set of twins who were 38 or 39, and one had used botox for 13 years and the other hadn't, and one looked way younger than the other. they didn't show a picture unfortunately. i'm in my mid-20's now but no sign of forehead wrinkles, so i guess i can't use it for maintainance yet, which is good, since i can't afford it anyways!

I've been seriously considering it lately. My laugh lines (same ones my mother has) are pretty deep by the end of the day. It's weird cause they don't look nearly as bad in the morning.

I think most doctors use restyline for frown lines. since it is a cosmetic filler, it fills in the line and unlike botox, you can still move your face! i think restyline is a lot cheaper too....(200-400 dollars.)

i don't know because i haven't tried either, but it doesn't seem like it would. one you are injecting into a muscle (botox), and the other you are just putting under the skin where fat would be (restyline). so maybe less?

does anyone know if restalyn can be used to replace fat in the cheeks, i want the botox but would still have hollow in my cheeks (directly under eye cheek part, and some to the side middle area of cheeks)

i thought about it before i saw heather locklear in that hilary duff movie ( i can't think of the name right now). i swear her face didn't show any expression through the entire movie. scarry! i think i can live with my 11s. better them than a face that doesn't move! jmho!

it's best to start prevent &&use botox when you first see sgns so you dont wait til last minute && rack up the needles && bills for something very noticeable

It's never been a thought in my mind to try Botox. I'm fortunate (IMO) in those areas, but I sure could use some work on my new double chin that keeps getting bigger by the day.

i'm not crazy abt needles. i'd first try maybe face peels and see how that worked out

I have had Botox for 2 years and it is fabulous! I have it between by brows and on top of my cheekbones to prevent some of the crinkling around my eyes when I smile.

It works, works, works! No cream, potion, lotion can do what it does. It's costly-I pay $300.00 an injection every 4 months. For some, the longer they use it, the longer they can stretch out treatments, but that doesn't work on me. It stings a little.....

the plastic surgeon injects me so he's fast and accurate.

If you are going to do it, go to a reputable doc who has done it a long time.

I also have restylane in my lips and face to plump it up.

I'm 50 and others say I look 35. The regime? Don't smoke, use 45 spf everyday, don't drink, exercise, great diet and fabulous (obviously) genetics.

I'm 34 and I think I have a pretty discerning eye. Botox tends to look weird to me. I have yet to meet anyone who told me they'd done it but I hadn't noticed it before they spoke. Their faces tend to sag in weird places, so I don't really get it.

I will probably have the lines filled in, either with Restalyne/Captique or some newer filler, or my own fat.

I want to try Gentle Waves or Titan Laser and maybe IPL as well but I need to gather the money first, so that's my first job.

I also want to freeze my eggs, (sorry unrelated) so I have another large expense calling my name, possibly before working on my face due to the time issue.

no because i think there are alot of things out in the market that will give the same positive affects Botox will in a much safer way.

Botox can also be used in higher doses for muscle spasms and other issues. In those cases, the higher doses can lead to the potential for more side effects. As such, Botox should only be used at the lowest required dose. In general, the lower the dose, the safer the process is.In addition, too many Botox treatments in too short a time can be dangerous - its effects, though, generally last about four months.

Yes, that's exactly what Restylane and other dermal fillers can do.

BOTOX does a great job of relaxing the facial muscles that create wrinkles (injecting into the muscle, not the void).  By relaxing these muscles, the appearance of wrinkles are reduced...since the muscles are not flexing to create said wrinkles.

What's nice about Restylane is that it gets injected into the voids of your wrinkles and not the muscles themselves. This allows you to maintain movement and expressions, while reducing the appearance of wrinkles, since volume has been added.

Both do work, you just want to pair them with the appropriate areas of your face and go to a reputable clinic.

Good luck!
