Has anyone used the miniglide straightner?

I ordered one, haven't gotten yet, but was wondering if it is any good. It only heats up to 250, I think, that doesn't seem hot enough to straighten your hair. I recently cut my hair, (and ruined it), and was hoping this would help. Just wondering if this is any good or not. Anything you could tell me about it would be appreciated.
