Haircut?!

Okay, so I've had the same hair style forever and want something different! I'm going to a cosmetology school Tuesday to sign up for classes starting in September (yay!!) Anyway I want to look super cute for it lol I've got an appointment tomorrow to get my hair done but have NO CLUE what to get done. Right now its long (about mid-back) dark brown and I've got the side bangs thing going on... Any ideas (nothing short, my husband would divorce me lol!) Pleas help me ladies =]] with pics and suggestions

You could get it layered. Do you know Bubzbeauty on youtube ? I love her hairstyle. It's a layering with the hair on top of the head being shorter than the rest of the hair, and you can also have bangs with this hairstyle.

Let us know what you end up getting...it's always nice to bring in a pic to the stylist...it makes it a lot easier...and also keep in mind the way your hair naturally falls...curly or straight? fine or course? You might pick a haircut you like out of a magazine but the model might have way different hair than you...hey and tell the stylist you only want a trim off the length but long layers throughout...they seem to love cutting it way to short!!! With the layers it will give you more volume when curling and a more textured piecey look when straight...oh yeah...wow...I'm talking a lot...lol...ask for face framing layers it'll look great with 'ur side swept bangs...keep us posted...I wish you a happy haircut :]

I looked up bubz beauty...love it! she has face framing layers and short layers in her hair...the stylist could use a razor in ur hair to make it look like hers BUT only if you have naturally straight hair...i never use a razor on curly hair...yikes...

ask for an a-line bob blended into ur long hair...keeping the length of course...that gives you lots of volume at ur crown...and lots of fun new ways to play :]

Thank you both! I got lots and lots of layers I will put up a pic soon. I also got it colored a really dark brown (almost black) and it kinda has a purple-maroon tint to it =] I love it!

ur welcome...i'm glad to hear it went well...i LOVE the dark browns with the cool colored undertones!!! the violets and blues are awesome...have you seen ''how do i look?'' on the style channel? she has almost black hair that has blue in it...love it!! i bet it looks really nice in the sunlight...

oh yeah...i went to cos. school...and the girls always check you out head to toe...so now you'll have an extra bit of confidence ;]
