my hair is the same length as this and i want to style it like this what do i do? do i straighten it or something?

It looks like she uses a styling wax to get it to look all piece-y.

agreed, blow dried so that your 'parting' is in the front like that, then wax the hell out of it

To get the piecey look you're going after, its easiest to apply a small amout of pomade to the hair, flat iron then apply wax to set the style in place. You have to keep in mind that your hair doesnt naturally part that way so it may take a little training of your hair to get it to stay that way without a ton of pomade and wax!
