I naturally had stick straight hair, wouldn't hold curl for anything, so I decided to get a 'body wave' a few years ago. It's loose waves, rather than a spiral perm. Well, it was curlier than I expected, but not too bad. That was at least 3-4 years ago, and now when my hair gets wet it has a slight wave to it. When it dries naturally it is kinda wavy and frizzy and it was never like that before. I was told that it would fade with time. So now I have to use a straightening balm, blowdry, then straighten it when I wear it down. Is there anything I can do to just get it back to normal again? I miss just washing and going and having a straight smooth hair!!

Over the years your hair texture changes normally. So although your body wave has grown out - you might now be 'naturally' wavy, and not have the same the same texture that you did a few years ago. My hair was straight as a kid - and now its wavy... it may change again.

Well that's interesting..I never knew hair texture could change. I wonder what causes it? Just age I suppose. One thing hasn't changed though..still very thin!

I have been straightening my hair for the past year (blow dryer, and hot iron). Now from what I understand, waves are back in!! I have wavy hair. Can anyone suggest a hair product that will allow my hair to wave, but keep down the frizzies? Tomorrow I plan to get long layers cut into my single layer hair to unwieght it. Is this a good idea? Any advice would be great.:eusa_pray: Leslie.

hair texture definately changes over time. when i was a kid in the late 80's, i remember getting my perm, and my hair was so fine and straight, the perm wouldnt even hold! now my hair is thicker and more manageable, and it can hold the curl from a round brush all day. would have never done that before! it has to do with hormones...

I like CurlySexyHair products... the "Curl Power" spray is awesome! Also, another good one is "crazy curl balm" by Alagio ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
