Okay, so I don't really want to cut my hair yet and its really long (just look at the picture) and its about a good 6 or 7 inches longer than that since its a couple months old. I don't mind having my hair up but can anyone recommend any good hairstyles to wear that will hold and that are easy?

I find that i have to use at least two elastic bands just to keep it on top or it won't hold!! And when they start to lose their elasticity after a bit of use, i sometimes find myself using up to 3 or 4!!

The only two ways i fix my hair is by doing the messy up do like this:

But not as bad or having it parted to the side on the front and as a bun on the back.

Any suggestions? I plan to cut it in the very near future but can't decide on a new style yet.

your hair is gorgeous! my hair is the same way, only not as long, as far as being almost impossible to ponytail. what i've been doing is just styling the front (above ears/top of head) and leaving the rest to hang. i've even been doing kind of 40's style "rolls" in the front, which are pretty cool.

but if you must pony, try sticking a claw clip into the base of your ponytail, underneath, to support it. yeah, it kind of digs in after awhile, but you can get a few hours out of it anyway.

OR ~ you could do a low side pony, those are in right now.

hope this helps!

I second the low side pony, with hair like yours, I think that would probably be your best bet. It looks beautiful from the pic!

ETA: Dont forget, if you do go with the low side pony, you can accessorize a lot, headbands, cute clips, flowers, things of that nature.

You have really nice hair. What about getting more layers?

I find that my hair is a lot more manageble since I've had layers.

Yea, I was thinking about doing that but i really dont want to change it until i'm decided on what style i want. That way if i want some length, i've already got it.

Could you pull just the top front layer back? I've seen Kourtney Kardashian do it, but I can't find a good picture of it. She puts it up similar to this picture but the hair up front is very big/high. You get that by using lots of product, teasing it from the back, than lightly combing the top layer back. It is hard to explain, but it looks very classy and it very in right now.
