Hi guys

I have shoulder lengh hair which has a natural wave.

When my hair was longer I was able to just leave it to dry naturally and I got some amazing curls/waves but I could also just blow dry it nd leave it and it would look nice and natural

I love my hair the length now and everyone complments me on it the trouble I have is now I blow dry it, it goes nice underneath but the top goes frizzy and puffy.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do different to try and stop the top doing this?

Apart from shampoo and condition the only other product I use is a heat defence.

Thanks

i have the same issue, i think the only thing i can suggest is to make sure youre pointing the nozzle DOWN the hair shaft when you dry the top layers. sometimes this can be hard to do, so i flip my head upside down and do it like that. gives me some crazy volume too.

I also have this problem. What works for me is smooshing a tiny bit of serum along the hair shafts and on the top of my hair.

Then I blow dry the top of my hair by using a brush - to straighten the hair with tension.

And I also blow the air in the direction of the hair shaft - as fingers mentioned.

Tried it upside down and it worked a treat, also got loads of volume which I absolutly love

Thanks girls

I had that problem after I was using a newish blowdryer for awhile. The hottest heat setting was too hot--therefore scorching my hair, making it frizzy. Now I use the middle heat setting, which takes a little longer, but my hair stays pretty smooth and shinier now

Just wanted to add that using a brush helps. Preferably one that doesn't cause breakage like a Mason Pearson, Goody Snagless, etc.
