Basically, i have wanted for a while to get hair extensions, but i'm a complete hair extension virgin and have no idea what type to get!!

I want them to look as natural as possible, but not sure what else.. are clip ons complicated??

Can anyone recommend any websites or brands???

Thanks =]

hey..i currently use clip on extensions and the arent complicated at all,I actually made them myself.I bought a pack of hair and some weave/wig clips and sewed them on.In my opinion they are easier because you can put them in and take them out whenever you'd like

hope this helped out a little...

i've worn human hair clip on extensions and they work beautifully for everyday styles...clip on extensions are fairly cheap also. You can plan on spending anywhere from $100-$300 for decent clip ons. You can find them in different lengths also..I personally like the 16" length. Keep in mind if you get human hair clip ons, you dye them, cut them, style them as you would your own hair.

If you actually want to opt for long term extensions you can go to a salon that has great length extensions...i personally like those the best. It's a protein bond...so it pretty much does not damage your hair like other techniques and as long as you care for your hair as they instruct it will not damage your hair and it will last as long as up to 7 months. The downside is they can be pricey....anywhere from $600-$2000 or more depending on the salon and the style/length you want. Hopefully that helps.

thanks for your replies, one question..

when you chose the length of the extensions, say 16" or 20" is this the length they are after they are put in or before..

hopefully that makes sense.. im so clueless lol

I guess both..lol...the length won't change when you put them in unless you cut it. But the layers will look different depending on where you place the extensions if that make sense. So if you put the extensions higher up...it's going to look shorter than the bottom layer.

yeah thats what i meant to say, so i guess itll depend how high up i put them, there isnt like a certain length up for them to go?

lol...
