I am dyeing my hair right now (black) and I can never figure out how to get it off my skin! I stained it really bad. This happens everytime! HAHA. Any suggestions?

Yes Jennifer, I did a search and I couldn't find a topic on this, so please don't beat me with your mascara wand! HAHA

a hairstylist once told me that before you take a shower, put conditioner on the stains and let it soak for a little bit, then take a shower. i don't know if it works because i remembered after i dyed my hair black. it doesn't hurt to try though.

i thought tea tree oil or something did, lol i did this only last week to myself however i had only fake tanned the day before and didnt want to scrub hard on my face (hair line and at the side near my ears ) so i used soap and a soft flannel and wiped until most had come off then concealer on it before i did my makeup haha the joys of vanity huh!

Oh yes, the joys of vanity! HAHA! I tried nail polish remover, not the best idea, it burned a little bit!

Next time, a little petroleum jelly near the hairline will prevent your forehead from being stained.

I used to use petroleum jelly, but I ran out! When I dyed it this time, I got it all over my forehead, my face, my shoulders and my back and my neck. Quite the mess. My sister rubbed me down with a wet paper towel several times, but I am still stained. Oh well! HAHA!

The tea tree oil method definately works

That and a little elbow grease!

This happened to me yesturday to as I dyed my hair a dark brown. As soon as I saw it had dripped on my arms I quickly wiped with a wet paper towel and it seemed to work to get it off. I suppose you just have to wait a few days and it will fade :/

I know everyone's going to groan but since you asked:

I mix a tiny bit of comet and water - making a paste.

Then it's a quick rub on all the dyed skin and off to the shower.

Doesn't require days to work or elbow grease either.

Because I do it quick, there's no irritation.

My face was the only part that would stain and wouldn't come off for a day or two but now for some reason it doesn't do that anymore?.. I'm not sure if it's because i switched brands or if it's take a shower afterwards and the hot water helps?

Sorry, this was not helpful. haha

Yeah, I heard lemon juice would work, but I have never bought that stuff in my life! HAHA!

I just learned the coolest trick a few weeks back and I just tried it last week when I colored my hair and it actually worked so well. (It also works when you get permanent marker on your skin, just tried it on that yesterday)

Take some ashes from an ashtray (hopefully you have a friend that smokes and you can get some) rub it on the spot and then wipe it off with a damp cloth. Takes every last bit off.

Wow, that is interesting. I've never heard of that! I want to test it out.
