Hair donations

I was planning to cut my hair, and since my hair grows like weed, it wouldn't take long before it's back to it's normal length, so I'm planning to sell it or donate it. Have you ever donated you hair for a cause, like for wig making for children with cancer, or have you ever sold your hair, do they require any requests???

My cousin tried to once. WHen the hair dresser showed her how long it wouldbe when she cut it, her hair would be left to short. So she just cut it normal instead. Turns out, thehair dresser messured wrong, she ended up cutting off just short one inch of what she would have needed to donate.(its 8 inchs here, she ended up cuttinig 7). My cousin was pretty upset, she was really looking foward to donating, but shes 13 and didnt wanna loose all her lenght. You know how 13 year old girls are.
