Hair color solution problem?

I had just mixed the 2 products to and was ready to color my hair when the phone rang. I was on a phone for a few hours. When I came back the solution was hot and very liquid. Can I still use it? I don't want to go buy another one. What should I do with it?

ooohhhh that I don't know. Did it come with a box that may have instructions? Did you leave it under a hot light maybe?

no just in room temperature. the instruction says to use immediately, but i wonder if it is still ok after a few hours. What will happen if i put it in the freezer to cool it down?

Well I would think that with the heat & the cold the chemistry of the solution might change and then it won't have the same results on your hair. I wouldn't use it but that is just me.

If you are really brave, you could do a patch test and see how that works.

I wouldn't use it either. Next time the phone rings and you are about to dye your hair, don't answer it! HAHA.

I wouldn't recommend using haircolor that has sat mixed for more than 30 minutes, IMO.

yea i agree..i'd just leave it alone..although what you could do is try to return the product...not with the solution obviously but say something like it had a really foul smell and i would like another box...perhaps i got a bad one? As long as you have your receipt and depending on place of purchase..that might be feasible.?

At least that's what i would do...i wouldn't tell them that i decided to answer the phone and let the solution sit..cuz they'll say...well, that's your own fault !

Yep, haircolor becomes bad after sitting for a couple of hours when it's been mixed up.

The color has oxidized. Bascially, while you were on the phone, the color processed in the bowl instead of on your hair. So it is not safe to use.
