Hair color Recommendations.

I have a picture in my profile that is pretty similar to my hair color now. I am wanting to go a little bit darker and possibly incorporate some red. I have had an all over red color before and that is definitely not something I pull off too well, but a little bit of red looks good. Does anybody have any color recommendations for me?

You could get a darker base color (maybe a brownish red) and add some highlights in either two different tones of red or you could even do a red and a blondish color, etc.

I was thinking of doing the overall color as these Its hazelnut medium brown or Cocoa Harbor. Then I was wanting to highlight it with some honey blonde and red.. Is that a good idea?

I think their colors turn out more even. If you dye it, and it is too much brown, you can go to a salon and have them do a partial highlight of a blonde or red color that would add some dimension to your hair! Good luck

Thanks.. I was just looking around for a color and I liked that color. I won't necessarily get Herbal Essences. I don't really like them either.I normally use L'Oreals haircolor or Garnier. My bfs sister is going to dye my hair for me Friday and she has done my hair twice before. We usually just buy a box from Wal-Mart and it always turns out awesome, sometimes even better then when I have gotten it done at the salon.

What is everybodys favorite brand of hair color? I just bought L'Oreals Feria brand in carmel kiss, hope I made the right choice, there are so many different brands to choose from, I even went to sally's beauty supply store to see what they had to offer. I'm curious to know what everyone else uses. Thanks Rachael

I have a hair appointment tomorrow but i'm thinking I should just save some money and do it myself since i'm just basically wanting to darken it all over. I have no idea which hair color to buy, though. Is Garnier or L'Oreals the best?

I really like L'Oreals. The conditioner that is in the boxes works soo well.

I think you could go for a dark golden strawberry blonde or a light honey brown, if that makes sense. I'll see if I can find a pic of what I mean.

Thanks Jessi... I do like the honey brown colors or strawberry blonde. The 2nd one is kinda similar to my hair now, but a little darker.
