This is after two trips to the salon, first trip for hi/low lites yesterday, second trip to fix the mess up - today. The first time my hair was cooper/orange/red looking. Now its copper, white & green looking - any ideas on what I can use to fix it - I really don't want to go back (as you can see in the pic my hair is really dry from the hi/low lites). I just wanted a 'freshing up' of my color (like in my avatar or profile pic).

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for all the recs and advice!!! I used something called shimmer lights on my hair & it has toned it down a bit - its actually 'do-able' now - lol!! Thanks again..... ;-)

I tried the pics again, its so strange - when I post pics - I can see them, but, allot of times others can't - any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Are you uploading pics from a site (like Photobucket) or from your computer?

i can see the pics. but i have no idea on how to help with your hair.

have you tried some more red colour though? I think that would suite you great, something from red to brown. do you agree ladeis?

I think the color is a bit too light and too ashy for your complexion. Maybe try a medium or dark golden blonde color.

hmm, you cant really tell what the exact colour is, its between an ash/dark blonde.. makes u look bit pale. I think maybe a light golden brown would look gr8 on u & make ur eyes stand out. U have beautiful skin too!!

Thanks for the help & compliment - is it the ashy color that makes it appear greenish? Anything I can use to tone it down? I have a purple conditioner here called shimmer lights - would that help? Thanks

I would try a semi-permanent colour in a warm tone.. this should get rid of any ashy colours and help all the highlights merge together. x

You can TRY a product called Metalex, purchased in Beauty Supply stores, the real kind, not a "drug store" type. Its purpose is to remove color. Most likely it will take the ash out, but not remove ALL of it, because I am sure you've had this a few days by now. I would *not* double process. Because the metals in the one color can react with the metals in another and you might be worse off. Try the metalex and see if you can take the edge off first.

I think you would look fab as a redhead.

wow...thanks everyone - I have never been red (I've been every other color - lol) I do have some red hi-lights (not by choice) now, so I'll see how well they 'grow' on me. I've never really thought about taken my color red - mainly because of the maintance of red hair - I like 'low maint.' hair color (nothing I have to 'keep' up) & styles.

i think the highlights are too light. like the others said, i also think red would look hot on u!
