Hi gurls!!

I started this thread because I feel so frustrated!

I got my hair dyed jet black about a week and 2 days ago and my water and lather STILL come out PURPLE!! It toally freaks me out that all my colour is fading away, DAILY. My hair already does not looks as the first day after the procedure

I know that washing your hair daily fades the colour faster, but I can't help it because I go to the gym everyday and NEED to take a shower...so what would you suggest me to do?

I am so sad because I have already lost a lot of colour and it still comes out

Do you know about anything I could use to help my hair lock in the rest of the colour?

Thanks a lot in advance!!

maybe when you take a shower put your hair up in a bun, and when your done sprinkle some dry shampoo on your hair. Oscar Blandi makes a good one. that way you dont have to wash it every day. good luck :)

Are you using a shampoo specifically for color treated hair? That'll help a lot!

i would recomend switching your shampoo and conditioner to the aveda one, it is called black something.

it is one of those color depositing shampoo/conditioner combos. so that should help to at least slow down the process

I think this would help:

1. Maybe use a different brand/type of dye. Are you sure it was permanent, not a semi?

2. Don't wash your hair for at least a day or two before you dye it. The oil will help draw in the color.

3. Use a shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair as Maysie suggested.

Good luck!!

Using a shampoo that is too strong could perhaps be stripping some color out.....

The primary problem is the brand of hair dye that you are using. Second, the shampoo that you are using is not specific for that hair color. Pantene has a good shampoo for black hair, midnight expressions i think it is. Try Feria for a perfect black dye
