I prefer using conditioners to wash my hair, especially in summer, when I am more active. I will occasionally use a shampoo, just to make sure everything is clean. And, I use whatever happens to be on sale at the time. So far, no problems for my hair.

i do conditioner washes and i have alot of fine very curly hair, it does help the curls not be so frizzy, i also am obsessed with washing my hair since i am a waitress and bartender and tend to feel like i smell of the bar or restaurant i work at. i do recomend it to curly and or dry hair if your hair is oily dont try it, it will only make it oilier.

I am a member of the Long Hair Community and I alternate between co washes and CWC (condition, wash with shampoo, condition). I think that co washes really can help people with naturally curly hair or hair that is prone to frizz or dryess

A lot of people don't realize this, but when you "wash" your hair, it's the friction from your hands, not a product (be it shampoo or conditioner) that gets your scalp clean. So as long as you are not putting conditioner directly on the scalp and letting it sit there, co washing should be fine.

Well I did my first CO wash yesterday. So far, it is ok. My hair looked fine, though not any more smooth than it usually looks (which disappointed me a bit). Today my bangs look a bit greasy. I will not wash my hair today and see how it looks by day end.

I am not yet sure I will be a fan of this type of washing. I think I might do the CWC (where I put conditioner on my ends, then wash my hair, then condition my hair).

i do this with my hair just rinse VERY well and use sparingly on the roots

atleast once a week wash with shampoo or every week and 1/2

I do this with the length of my hair but I use normal shampoo on the roots. The Long Hair Community has some seriously interesting articles on this, and a lot of other issues on hair.

Yeah, this is called the CWC (condition-wash-condition) approach and I find this much more realistic for most people. This is what I will be sticking with, I think.
