Does anyone use a spray wax while flat ironing their hair.

Or is their another styling product you can recommend.

I have shoulder length, curly, coloured hair that is a bit damaged.

I was thinking about trying Alberto Miracle Mist Heat Defence.

Any/all ideas are appreciated.

I use L'Oreal Hot Straight! It protects from the heat, and also works fairly well as an anti-frizz/anti-static product! It's only $3 and works just as well as the $15 Straight Sexy Hair products I tried!

I haven't actually had a great need for wax. The only product I occassionally use is Paul Mitchell Slick Works (but I do LOVE it!)

Along these lines... Can anyone recommend a decent flat iron? Mine's pretty crappy, but I'm not sure that I'm willing to splurge on any of these ionic irons (though I may, eventually). So if anyone can recommend a decent flat iron in a lower price range, I'd be very grateful =)

Spray wax is styling product. for texture styles. Its not good for irons. this could add to the dammage. Aquage Beyond Shine(its a spray and it will help with the damage and is great for straighting irons. It leaves your hair in a better condition each time you use it. It is also a shine product. Also, it doesn't weigh your hair down. I like Paul Mitchell Straighening products too.

HealthySexyHair's Soya Want Flat Hair iron spray is nice... I also use CHI Iron Guard. I start w/ the HSH Soy smoothie, and then one of the sprays. I have a CHI, but before I used to use the ceramic Remington iron which wasn't bad for the price.

I like the Beyond The Zone heat protetor spray. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it comes in an orange triangle shaped bottle. And it smells awesome.

And the best straightener for your money is a CHI. That is a fantastic tool!

I use John Freida's step 3 control serum when straighning my hair. I love the texture of the product and it always makes your hair feel so nice!

I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. Smells good and keeps my flat iron from burning my hair to a crisp.

I use Redken 12 Align ..its works great on me..my hair lies silky soft.

Flatiron: Ga.ma ion technology...ceramic ...love it

I have Redken 12 Align straightening balm, which is a good product. It has a nice fragrance, too. I also have the Beyond the Zone heat protector spray (purchased at Sally Beauty Supply) and it works well, but it tends to make my thin, baby-fine hair greasy. I have to start my search for a good heat protectant product that doesn't make my hair greasy or wear it down.

Thanks for the great responces. I am going to get rid of the spray waxes and try a few recommended. I love Got2b products but they are discontinuing some products and introducing new ones. Has anyone tried the Got2b hair straightening product - triangular shaped orange pump bottle - don't know it's name off hand.

Redken Smooth Glide worked well for me too, but it always made my hair feel a little greasy when all was done and said. I actually don't use a flat iron either though. I need to get a CHI though!

i like loreals hot straight cream too, it smells really good too you can get @ walmart for about 3.00 so worth it
