I used herbal essences bold brilliant color in cocoa infusion on my dark brown hair. Now it is almost black in color. I tried washing several times but it has not helped. Anyone have advice on what I should or should not do to fix it??????

Last time I ended up with color I didnt like, I used One n only color fix from sally beauty supply, it worked like a champ and now I keep it on hand just in case. It will strip all the color out of your hair and take it up to the lightest color you have ever had it. I didn't use the 3rd step, I heard that kinda darkens it up again. Folica Beauty Supply has a bunch of reviews that may be helpful to you. Good luck! I know how how it is to end up with a color you dont really want. I had slightly green hair this summer as a result of using an ash color with a green base. One 'n Only color fix got all that mess out of my hair.

You can wait until it lightens on its own because it will or I would suggest going to a beauty supply store and asking what you can do to get it to the right color. It depends on the color you have and the color you want to have.

I would also suggest buying hair dye from a beauty supply store. My mom is a hair stylist and said that when a company comes out with a product (dye, shampoos, treatments, conditions, etc), they test it out and if it doesn't pass certain exams or what not, then they put the product out to sell on the drug store and food markets. If it passes then the product is considered a professional product and will be sold in the beauty supplies stores and salons.

I have noticed, though, that a lot of drug stores are beginning to sell the professional products (shampoos and conditioner) that you can buy at the beauty supply or salons. But if you go to like Sally’s you can get a membership card and it can save you lots of money on top of that they have professionals that can help you find the right color or product you seek. Hope this helps!
