I hate that I always have to wash my hair everyday!! At the end of day, my hair gets really oily and it's no longer volumised, even though when I blow dry my hair, I've used volumising sprays/mousse on my hair! I know its bad to wash my hair everyday, but I can't help it. I've heard about Dry Shampoo, is it good? Or is it my shampoo that I have to change, am using Loreal shampoo. Any recs for ligth shampoo that will not bring my hair down? Thanks all

Why not try a clarifying or volumizing shampoo.

They clean your hair well and don't offer much moisturizing benefits, which can weight hair down.

L'Oreal should have one.

I use one by White Rain - Shampoo Extra Body, maximizes body and volume. Clear bottle.

I heard you can use cornstarch with a brush and a blowdryer to absorb the excess oil, but i haven't tried it. You could also try a green clay mask, it's messy but it works (1 to 2 times a week).

Dry Shampoo works wonders! I use one by Bumble and Bumble. I have thick hair that ends up being oily at the end of the day, but when I wash my hair everyday they become limp and rough looking. I just put some dry shampoo every other day now to keep the look fresh!

dry shampoo does work well. i have greasy hair at the moment too and i'm finding washing it everyday isn't making it better. try to only wash it every 2-3 days instead, i know it's awful when it's oily and all you want to do is wash it, but washing it strips your hair of its natural oils so your hair produces more- making it oily! try to leave it a few days. it will be less oily by the 2nd or 3rd day, trust me!

i think you may need to clarify ethier with a claryfing shampoo v05 makes a good with baking soda and water or a acv rinse

Quickie question: What's dry shampoo?

I used to have really really greasy hair by the end of the day and I too used to wash my hair everyday. I was told that I have to just keep trying to NOT wash my hair for a couple of few days at a time. So I kept doing this (especially on the weekdays when I work only with older ppl who could care less about how my hair looks) and combined that with my greasy hairstyle look (a poof in the front, LOL) so that I wouldn't officially look like my head was just wet since it's most obvious in the bangs.

And it wasn't until recently that I started noticing my hair did not get immediately greasy after a day or 2. This past Sunday I asked my girlfriends if my hair looked like it was greasy at all and they both said "no" and I was super stoked coz the last time I washed my hair was that Friday! (I know this might not sound as much to some of you, but it was a huuuuge deal for me!)

Anyway, in addition to that... I started washing my hair with salon quality products (System Hinoki shampoo for fine hair and Thermafuse Color Care Conditioner). That reaaaallly made a huge difference! And let me tell you... I don't think I'm ever going back to otc hair care products!

Well... that's just my experience. But I hope it helps someone!!!
