Depending on what condition my skin is in, I use one of 2 masques--both by my favorite skin-care line, Dermalogica. One is their Skin Refining Masque--helps reduce breakouts without any drying whatsoever. Also seems to minimize the look of pores--it really deep-clean them. The other is the Skin Hydrating Masque, which really deep moisturizes the skin without ever triggering a breakout or any oiliness..I've used them both for many years.

Hi Charmaine! Thankyou for the feedback on the Vitamin C. As I said, it is only for the hardcore, and if you are under about 33 or 34 years old, I would only use it at most twice a month, as you still have enough natural elasticity in your skin. The vitamin C powder I use is Pure, with nothing else at all added, so as long as your buffered C is just and only asorbic acid, it should work fine, as the intensity of burning is not necessarily connected to the good job it is doing. If the buffered stuff has other stuff in it, besdides vitamin C, check those "other things" carefully.

Thanks for asking about QMS! It is a fairly popular high end salon facial line here in Europe (origin in Germany) mostly Germany and Austria. In the States, I think they are headquartered in Florida...check www.qms.com..It is a line by a German dermatologist. It just works well for me. I only get it once a year, maybe twice. They have a "24 hour spa cream" for like, 150 bucks a jar, and no, there is no gold or pearls in it. I have the facials, but cannot afford the products. If you check out or google their website, you'll see what I mean. Expensive stuff. They also have a makeup line called Horst Kirchberger, which supposedly model Heidi Klum wears...

I hope you had a great Christmas!!!!!! And have a Happy New Year!!

Talk to you soon,

My favorite masks are B&BW's Pure Simplicity Masks in Neem and Pumpkin. I also love Mario Badesku's (sp?) drying mask as a spot treatment.

I haven't used one for months but right now I have a blue face, with a moisture mask from Nivea. My skin has been really dry lately. I don't really know what's the best one since I always buy these little packages that last for 1 time

Just wondering where do you purchase queen helene mint julip mask??? I love dermalogica multivitamin power recovery mask.. once a week.

My favourite mask is Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant. It is not supposed to be a mask as such but a chemical exfoliant. I find it makes my skin genuinely glow and the smoothness/brightness actually lasts for a good couple of days, which never happens with ordinary masks, not for me anyway!

I don't know that its all that gentle ... it does tingle for a few minutes while it sets but the results are well worth it!:icon_smil

Idont wear masks, but I used to put some beated egg whites on my face a few years ago. I was too lazy to continue doing that, besides, I dont have so much patience to keep something on my face for a while.

i dont use any

i dont really know anything about masks.

maybe i should try it.

do you need different mask depent on your skin or anything?

id like to know more about mask.

Well there are a range of types ie; clay, thermal, mud etc and they do different things, and you also have ones that control oil made for oily skins, and ones designed to moisturise dry skin, you can also get some for all skin types.

My favorite mask is SECRET IN A TUBE i use it every other day and afterwords I put the serum on and it has made wonders for my skin

I have Dermologica's Skin Refining Mask, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm afraid it might make me break out! I realize the masks are bringing all the toxins to the surface though.

What masks do you girls recommend for oily, acne prone skin? What do you do after the mask? Do you use a toner and moisturize or just leave your skin to breathe?

I've been steaming my face lately then applying Apple Cider Vinegar. This has worked pretty well for me.

my fave is Aztec indian healing clay mask, i mix this with ACV, it sucks up all the dirt and i can really feel my face pulsing whenever i use this. bought this in a health store.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque (Varies.)

Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Treatment Mask (Varies.)

Biore Shine Control Clay Mask (Varies.)

Biore Self-Heating Mask (Varies.)

Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel w/CelluZyme (As of lately, 2 - 3x a week.)

Thalgo Peeling Cream Pure Delicacy (Not very often.)

Clinique Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask (I'm out at the moment.)

Proactiv Refining Mask (I'm out at the moment.)

There are more, but I can't think.

Currently I'm loving Mario Badescu Facial mask for Oily skin and House of Rose Acne medicated mask( I use this only for occasional pimple)

just a thought for you all to consider- tingling, plumping and burning sensations are just as likely to be a sign of irritation than a mask doing something good....so be careful what you put on your face!

Has anyone ever heard of using regular honey as a mask??? I read about it a long time ago and forget what it did...

When using QHMJ, after you put it on, try to squeeze the air out of the tube before putting the cap back on, its probably the air that makes it thicker/dry. I'm going to check in to the suggestion to add water- that may be ok for the bit that you are putting on your face right then, but adding water to the tube may not be good for the mask and could introduce bacteria etc to the tube....kind of like they say not to add water to your mascara tube...the stuff is so cheap, why not buy a fresh tube when it gets too hard....sorry to be the voice of doom today!

I'd like to update and say that QHMJ is my HG mask but the Body Shop Thermal Mineral one is still good for the times when I feel like a change!
