Im on about dying my blonde and brown hair bright red! I used to do it before I dyed my hair black, and my other half really wants me to dye it bright red but if i do and im not happy with it will it be easy to go back to my current color? I dont want to bleach it anymore as it cant take it. But I would love to try red once

red is a pain to bleach out.... like worse then black

i have light blonde hair and i had it dyed red once and to get it back to my normal color it took 3 bleachings which my hair didnt enjoy...

but to get to a brown... as long as it is darker should not be to much of a hassle

i say go for it

i currently went back to red hair cause either i am both in love with the color and slightly crazy

I love red! I am addicted to having either red or pink in my hair. But it is really staining to your hair. After I had my natural hair (Dark brown) with pink highlights in it i decided to bleach it, and i still had pink highlights. Needless to say, if you dont love it, its best not to go for it.

I hear you about not wanting to bleach anymore. I have had bad experiences with bleach. I swing back and forth between red and brown. Right now I am red, but I want to go back to brown soon. So you should be fine.

how about dying your hair black and putting red highlights in it that way you can have both but if you wanna go with just one color i would go with black i have had both in my hair and black was always easier to get out than the red was that took me along time and alot of dyes to get out

I can not go black lol sorry but it cost me over 300 to get the black out my hair id be mad to go black again.

I love my color of browns and golden tones and I put in long blonde extensions and it looks really nice, But the other half would love me to have red hair, I used to do it when i was younger but Id love a bright red but Im scared if i dont like it or when I get bored Id want this current color back or at least a chocolate brown so I can have my extensions in and had brown n blonde again..

Just worried if to go for it..

had alot of color n bleach in my hair I wouldnt want to damage it anymore.

Maybe a wash in/out color would be better?

nope red stays forever with you..i still have red in my hair from 3 years ago.

i have black hair and i dyed it bright stop-light red for awhile and didnt need bleach.

i used Loreal Colour Rays color. its a highlighting system but i just dyed the front part of my hair and it was awsome!

its kinda hard to find though, but its worth the look as you dont need bleach to make the color bright and obniouxs.

beware, with all red hair dye, the color fades really quickly.

I don't know *that* much about hair dying, but I know that red is one of the most difficult colors to work with. I've noticed with a lot of people it's hard to find the right shade, it's hard to get the color to stick in a lot of cases, and I've also heard of it being hard to get rid of if it does stick.

I would be pretty sure about everything before you do it.

Red brings pigment to hair. While blonde takes away the pigment. So... I sujest go to strawberry first then go super red after you hair gets used to the red. It easier to deal with.

i had the same problem but with red try this Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Color Cream

i would go see a professional first to get their opinion.

i hear red is very tricky to get right

If you have any blonde in your hair, make sure you color your hair medium brown first, then put the red over it.

Medium brown is the ideal base for red hair, I've read it both in magazines and heard it from my mom, who's a hair stylist.
