Hi girls.

Well, since I'm a product-o-holic, I have a million shampoos on my shelf that is just waiting to be used, and I would like to switch between them, but if I'm not sure it is very clever to open up too many of them? It will take a while for me to use them all as I only wash my hair every 3 days, so my question is:

How long is the durability on shampoo?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% sure how long shampoos tend to last, but I can offer this piece of advice. On the back or bottom of your bottle you can find a code stamped on, either go to the products website listed or call the number listed and inquire about how to read the code. That will give you an expiration date on the paticular product. HTH!

I just checked L'oreal's website and they say their shampoos last a year after opening.

Maybe just use a few different ones at a time so that you get through them without them going off.

Id' say if they go off you'd be able to tell by the smell or the texture.

I never thought shampoos and stuff's like that would expire? i wish companies of all cosmetics and hair care products would stamp on a due date of useage on every hair care bottle so that the distributors would have sence enough to take them off the shelves!!! I dont want Old products in my hair, No wonder I notice a different scent in many hair care products like one smells nice and the same product of another bottle smells odd.

I'm sure they'd start smelling different when they get old. I guess just use up the ones that you'd really like to use first to make they don't go bad on you and then go down from there.
